To celebrate the third annual Immigrant Heritage Month Adam Matthew is pleased to announce temporary free access to the Migration Map – a special interactive feature within the recently released Migration to New Worlds digital primary source collection.
In 2014, President Barack Obama officially declared June as Immigrant Heritage Month. Now in its third year, the annual celebration of diversity and immigrants’ shared American heritage takes many forms, from individual and national events to the #IAmAnImmigrant movement.

The Migration Map in Migration to New Worlds allows users to trace immigration and emigration to the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand over time. Users can ‘Play All’ to watch a visualisation of all movements around a destination country, or select specific criteria unique to their research needs. In addition, the map allows users to trace the journeys of UK convicts transported to Australia in the nineteenth century.
