Of the staggering number of digital files created every day on a university campus, only about 10% will become part of the institution’s shared memory in the University Archives, assuming partners across campus share them with the archives.
Speaking at the AM Quartex Digital Collections Symposium, two members of the University's Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA) team, Ashley Todd-Diaz and Emiel Brown, share their creative process, progress made with campus partners to re-evaluate the community value of their materials and the benefits of sharing them with SCUA, and insight into what concerns partners may have about sharing control of materials that have otherwise been private.
