Adam Matthew has a long history of publishing microfilm and continues to do so for certain collections where specialist scholarly use or preservation format makes this ideal and cost-effective. Our customers are however increasingly demanding online access and this obviously comes at a price.
Archives Direct © seeks to combine the financial appeal of microfilm with the benefits of online access with a simple interface that enables the user to browse and search the document descriptions, view every page or download the material as PDFs.
Archives Direct © has less of the enhanced functionality of our premium resources such as full text search or interactive functionality but will offer online campus wide access to primary documents at a very affordable price.
Archives Direct © will be the obvious solution for manuscript based projects that are either very large in scale or have a specialist appeal to a select few scholars and graduate students.
When ordering an Archives Direct © collection the option of purchasing an archival copy in microfilm format at a heavily subsidised rate will be made available.
